Version 1.1, July 1995, 254 pages Written when VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) was somewhat popular, this sequel to the Guide to Cyberspace contains an overview of collaborative and virtual reality systems, thoughts on cyberspace, a look at current and future trends in interface design, virtual world design guidelines, musings on the future of the Internet, and an event timeline with over 1,000 events that track the history of cyberspace and related technology. From Webspace to Cyberspace was originally released as an internal white paper at EIT (Enterprise Integration Technologies) in December 1994. Since then it has been used as reading in undergraduate classes as well as thesis studies and has appeared on some public reading lists. Although it was not a popular book, it did develop a small underground following and has been read in places such as Xerox PARC, Sun, AT&T (research division), Microsoft (research division), Digital (research division), Hewlett-Packard, and SGI.
