1996
A variety of Linux logos, in all manner of formats, from PostScript to small GIF buttons. Some of the "Linux 2.0" images are somewhat out of date. These logos can be freely used, modified, and distributed in the spirit of Linux, but please attribute credit somewhere. They are by no means "official".
Please note that this page contains about 500k worth of logo images, so it may take a while to load on a slow connection.
1995
A parody of the Windows 95 logo, with an Apple logo instead of a Windows icon, in EPS, Photoshop, JPG, and PICT format. A bit out of date now, but you can still use it on unsuspecting PC users as a screen saver or startup screen. Feel free to use and distribute without credit.
1993
These icons were originally made for Mosaic for X and were used in the NCSA HTTPD Web server. Currently they are included in the Apache server distribution. They are in the public domain and may be freely included in any application.
If you use the Web, chances are you've seen these icons. They now come bundled with every modern Macintosh computer. I've even seen them on TV shows!
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) Icons
1996
These public domain icons can be put on your Web site to show support for the CSS standard, which is still inconsistently implemented in Web browsers.
